Il Entertainer Magazine reviews Scratch Pad
December 1, 2004
Schaumburg-based Scratch Pad USA has actually come up with a better way to protect the backside of a guitar from its typical hazards; belt buckles, zippers, snaps, and punk-rock guitar solos. Scratch Pad, for $26.95, is a U.S.-made, velvet-like high quality finish protector that adheres to your guitar (electric, acoustic, or bass) without the use of adhesives or vinyl films. Currently available in four colors (Velvet Black, Tyrol Red, Royal Blue, Chestnut), the dimensions of Scratch Pad have been designed to fit most guitar bodies including Les Pauls, Strats, and acoustics. Indeed, the Scratch Pad fit nicely on our 1985 Telecaster. Looks like these guys from the northwest suburbs have come up with a winner. Visit www.scratchpadusa.com to learn more. Scratch Pad is available at JC's Guitars in Algonquin (847-658-9932) and also at Flynn Music in Evanston (847-491-0500). -- David Gedge, Illinois Entertainer / December, 2004
